Regular Vacuuming
Vacuum at least once a week in the direction of the pile. Use a flat nozzle without a rotating brush for shaggy rugs.
Treat Stains Quickly
- Blot spills with a dry cloth — do not rub.
- Clean from the outside in with lukewarm water and mild soap.
- Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
Sun and Moisture
Direct sunlight can fade colours; rotate the rug periodically. Use a breathable non-slip underlay on damp floors.
Washing
Machine-made rugs can be professionally washed once a year. Dry flat in the shade.
Storage
Roll rather than fold, and do not place heavy objects on stored rugs.
